Chairing & Facilitating Skills
One of the central elements of an effective meeting is the quality of participation and involvement of those present. The Chair and/or Facilitator plays a key role in encouraging and managing contributions of participants. This one day course equips participants with the required theory and skills for effective group chairing and facilitation. It provides a psychologically informed, skills based approach to facilitation, uses several learning activities to promote high level participation, helps individuals understand the difference between a facilitator, trainer or teacher, defines the expected role and remit of a chair and explains the group dynamic theory whilst giving real life community group scenarios. This course is suitable for anyone who has an interest in this area.
