The Red Shed on the Playing Fields

We have built a small Wellbeing Centre providing shelter, toilets, kitchen facilities and a meeting space – all of which the reservoir lacked prior to it’s completion in August 2021. We are continuing to develop the site in line with our eco initiative.

The building is just off Selwyn Road and is accessible from the path around the Edgbaston reservoir.

We launched The Red Shed and the whole Edgbaston Reservoir site with a Family Fun Day, during the August Bank Holiday weekend.

We want to work with local people and groups to create a sustainable, safe, active and open space that supports the wellbeing of all. Through a range of activities delivered at The Red Shed, we want to meet the different interests and needs of individuals and their communities; for environment and for growing, for learning and for sport, for art and for culture.

Our Current Activities at The Red Shed

Stay, Learn and Play is open to children 0-5 and their parents/guardians. Sessions are free and are designed to support learning, improve English skills and develop social skills. Stay, Learn & Play also offers a valuable source of support for the wider family, giving you the chance to meet other parents and develop friendships and support networks, increase your confidence and find ways to support your children’s learning at home too.
