The Birmingham Settlement Money Advice Centre
Our Money Advice Centre in Newtown is the home of our independent money advice. Located in Alma House, our accredited advisors can help with money management through a range of support services.
Our team of advisors are available by appointment from our dedicated Money Advice Centre within the central Newtown Shopping Centre. We also work with National Probation Services (NPS) in prisons, as well as out in the community, with advisors based at outreach points across the city including the Ladywood Community Centre and our Nature and Wellbeing Centre.
Pre-book appointments: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm.

Money & Budgeting Advice
We all need help now and then to manage money, from budgeting skills to immediate action to resolve financial difficulties. We can also support court processes and welfare benefits appeals. Click here to find out more.
Hardship Funds
If you are in severe financial hardship, we may be able to support you to make an application for a grant. Email money.advice@bsettlement.org.uk
Debt Management
We provide tailored assistance with debts, maximising your income and talking to creditors.
Training & Learning
We offer specialist financial inclusion training to frontline organisations. Sessions have included topics such as Universal Credit, Council Tax, Debt and Personal Independence (PIP) payments.
Welfare Benefits
Birmingham Settlement is AQS (Advice Quality Standard) accredited in Advice level and Casework level Welfare Benefits and Debt.
Probation & Prison Service
Working with National Probation Service NPS we provide tailored assistance with debt, benefits and financial literacy.
