Youth Work
We work with young people up to the age of 25 in a range of settings including schools, Pupil Referral Centres, Young Offenders Institutes and in the community. We aim to help young people to gain life skills, increase their aspirations and confidence, achieve their goals and access new opportunities. To keep our young people and staff safe during COVID-19, we’re currently delivering a blend of online and limited face-to-face youth services.
Youth Clubs
Our Youth Club keeps young people connected to each other and their Youth Worker, Michael. Young people have the opportunity to socialise, get advice and Michael can signpost to more specialist services where necessary.
If you would like to get involved in our youth clubs or know a young person that would, please contact Michael at michael.olajide@bsettlement.org.uk.
One-to-one mentoring
We deliver one-to-one mentoring both in educational and community settings working with local schools and young people referred from our youth clubs. Our Youth Worker works with young people to, establish goals and aspirations and identify the best way to get there.
For more information please contact our Youth Worker Michael Olajide on michael.olajide@bsettlement.org.uk.
Wider support for young people
As well as our core youth services, we also get young people involved in a range of other activities including sports and physical activity like weekly football sessions and trips outside of the local community. This keeps young people healthy and active and enables them to access a range of opportunities like water-sports and mountain biking to get them involved in a whole host of different experiences!
Young people are also able to access our wider services including employability support, training money advice and health & wellbeing activities. Our holistic approach to supporting young people aims to build aspiration, personal development and positive choices.
