Funded through the Big Lottery Fund, from February 2017 we are running a free community performing arts project called “Bridging the Divide”. Through performing arts such as spoken work, drama and comedy we will be bringing local people together to explore the issues that matter to you.
The first set of workshops, facilitated by Women & Theatre, will run from February to March 2017 culminating in a end of project show. The workshops are open to anyone from the local community aged 16 plus and through these we will bring generations and communities together, using performing arts to give people a voice through which they can share their memories, thoughts, concerns and feelings about their local community.
- Passionate about your local community in Birmingham?
- Want to share your views and memories about your community and the issues that matter to you?
- Have a flare for the arts, music, drama or spoken word?
- Want to try something new and meet new people?
If this sounds like you, why not come along and join us?
Sessions are open to anyone over the age of 16 along with invited groups we will be working with.
