Adult Safeguarding
Half day / 3.5 hours

This half day training course (3.5 hours) is relevant for those working with vulnerable adults or anyone who simply wishes to understand how to recognize signs of abuse and learn the important steps they can take to safeguard a vulnerable adult’s wellbeing. The training content will include: defining abuse; patterns of abuse; those most at risk of abuse; the 10 categories of abuse; signs and indications that abuse might be occurring; defining safeguarding and taking safeguarding action; and the issue of client consent and safeguarding.

Please note this is adult Safeguarding training and not children’s safeguarding.

David has over 25 years experience in the health sector including working as a Holistic Therapist and 10 years as a Registered General Nurse. With his extensive experience in issues relating to homelessness, substance abuse, safeguarding, and supporting people in the community with mental health, David leads and develops our Health & Wellbeing training programme.
