Birmingham Settlement offers a wide range of services to the communities we serve, helping people to gain the skills and confidence they need to overcome life’s challenges and bring about positive change.
Our Core Services Include:
Money Advice
We offer free, impartial advice around debts, welfare benefits and budgeting.
Children and Family Services
We offer free Stay, Learn Play sessions for children aged 5 and under and their parents to support early years development and learning.
Youth Work
Our work with young people support those aged 11-18 through a targeted programme of support including youth clubs, one-to-one mentoring, workshops and physical activity sessions.
Services for Over-50's
Through our ‘Ageing Well’ programme we provide a range of free activities and support services for Birmingham’s residents helping to prevent isolation and improve wellbeing for over 50s.
Community Action and Wellbeing
We offer a range of free physical activity classes, one-to-one health & wellbeing support and volunteering opportunities to keep you active, healthy and connected to your community.
Employment, Jobs and Skills
Our free IT Club, Jobs Club and one-to-one employability appointments help people access and gain confidence using technology and help prepare them for the world of work.
Training and Learning
We provide training opportunities to support local residents to build personal and professional development through a range of ‘soft’ skills courses. We also deliver targeted training workshops for frontline organisations covering financial inclusion and introductory money advice so that frontline workers can better support your clients facing financial hardship.
