The Birmingham Settlement Sports & Community Centre came alive on 21st August with our Kingstanding Family Fun Day – and what a brilliant day it was!
Families and residents enjoyed a packed day of activities, including sports and games, arts and crafts, community stalls, a bouncy castle, mascot appearances and more. The atmosphere was full of energy, creativity and smiles as the local community came together to celebrate summer.
The day wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our brilliant partners and volunteers. We’d like to say a huge thank you to Birmingham Opera, who wowed us with a performance followed by a creative writing workshop, Party & Pals for bringing along everyone’s favourite duo Mario and Luigi and to Elite Sports for running the football camp.
We were also joined by the Red Watch Midlands crew from Perry Barr Fire Station, who brought their fire engine for families to explore and our community PSCO, who offered advice and support to the community, along with other stallholders who helped make the day a success.
