A wonderful time was had at the Birmingham Settlement Volunteer Appreciation Day last week, as we said a huge heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers!
Without YOU we couldn’t carry out our work in communities – so thank you again for all the time, energy and support you give us.
We calculated that volunteers have given our charity nearly 20,000 hours since April 2024, which is a Living Wage application worth an incredible £250,173!
Not only do our volunteers support our activities and sessions, they are the linchpin of our enterprises – enabling us to raise funds at our charity shops in Boldmere, Sutton and Wylde Green – as well as our Kingstanding Sports & Community Centre charity shop.
We’d like to give special appreciation to our longest supporting volunteer Tashala, who has given an incredible 25 years’ service to the ‘Settlement!
