This week, Birmingham Settlement launched a Welcome Café at our centre in Aston. The Welcome Café is for asylum seekers, refugees and people from newly arrived communities in Birmingham. The Café aims to provide a space where everyone is welcome as a place to relax and get to know other people. There will be games such as table tennis, pool and chess along with practising English language through conversations. Refreshments will be provided each week, with the group taking place every Monday afternoon 3pm – 4.30pm.
