Earlier this year, Birmingham Settlement was nominated by the Masonic Charitable Foundation to take part in their Tercentenary Awards celebrations. As they celebrated 300 years, the Masonic Charitable Foundation arranged a IMG_9587public vote giving people the chance to chose which charities would benefit from grants to support their work.  With your votes, Birmingham Settlement was chosen to be awarded a grant of £4,000 to support the work taking place at our East Birmingham Hub. This donation will be used to run activities and training from the Hub which will help the local community to come together and overcome disadvantages, social exclusion, isolation and other issues they themselves identify as important.

Earlier this month, we went along to the Masonic Charitable Foundation’s awards lunch along with other winners to accept our grant.

We would like to say a massive thank you to the Masonic Charitable Foundation for selecting us to be a part of these celebrations and to everyone that voted and helped us to secure a grant.  IMG_9591 IMG_9599
