Since 1899, Birmingham Settlement has been working to create opportunity and choice – connecting and empowering people through action, activities, and shared learning to build and sustain wellbeing for all.
Birmingham Settlement is looking to appoint to the new role of 610 Centre Manager to help us develop and renew our large community centre in Kingstanding; to create and improve spaces and opportunities that will allow us to continue to deliver the safe, high-quality services and activities our people want, deserve, and expect.
This is a lovely opportunity for the right person to join us at a unique and exciting time as we continue to develop and invest in our assets including our new Nature & Wellbeing Centre by Edgbaston Reservoir along with the ongoing development of training and learning, accredited money advice services and other core activities to ensure we are fit and focused for the years to come.
To succeed, you will have a proven track record in community development, excellent communication and leadership qualities including ability to motivate and inspire to get the best out of people as well as an understanding of the issues the Settlement strives to challenge. As part of Birmingham Settlement’s leadership team, you will play a key role in supporting the sustainability of the charity and the development and implementation of our longer-term strategic plans. This will be a very busy but rewarding hands on role that cuts across all aspects of the charity as we continue to grow and develop.
