The Settlement provides services and activities that support people to overcome the barriers they face by taking positive action on the issues that impact on their lives.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteer who would be willing to take on the role of reception in one of our buildings in Aston, Birmingham. We deliver a number of services to the local community and operate our business support services. We need a Volunteer Reception and Administration. Assistant to support us in daily tasks including:
- Welcoming clients
- Answering general enquiries
- Taking room bookings
- Sorting post and filing
- Liaising with staff when clients arrive
- Operating cyber suite
- Dealing with telephone calls and enquiries
You will be joining a long established and professional Money Advice Team providing specialist advice with a holistic approach that covers all areas of debt and welfare benefit along with training to build and continually improve money management and financial capability. You will be representing Birmingham Settlement and therefore any person taking on this role would be expected to be professional yet pleasant, friendly, and approachable. Average IT skills are welcomed but not essential.
