Birmingham Settlement
The first Settlement shop was opened in 1975 in Sutton Coldfield. The charity shops provide a vital source of income to the Settlement and we currently have seven across the City. Proceeds from the shops are used to underpin the Settlement’s core operations which enable support services to be delivered.

Volunteering

The Settlement shops currently have more than 80 volunteers who we rely on to give their free time to work in the shops. Whilst they are a vital source of support to us, being a shop volunteer can also play an important role in combating isolation, providing a positive social environment for many individuals. We are always keen to hear from anyone interested in volunteering, so get in touch with your nearest branch to find out more!

Donating Goods

Without the generous donations of goods from members of the community, Settlement shops would not exist. To donate your unwanted items, simply drop by and a volunteer or the shop manager will be happy to take them off your hands! Sutton Coldfield, Boldmere and Harborne branches sell furniture which we can collect from your home.

For more details about donations, collections or volunteering please contact your local
Settlement shop.
