Salary £24,360 pa (probationary review after 6 months)
35 hours per week
25 days A/L + contributory pension scheme

Birmingham Settlement is seeking to recruit an energetic, self-motivated and committed Community Action Worker to support our work in developing people and places. Based in Aston, you will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative community based programmes; helping to establish partnerships and networks, supporting individual and community development through volunteering, advice, support, and social action that addresses community priorities, local improvements and opportunity.

The Community Action Worker will work closely with individuals and groups to develop the skills they need to establish the activities they want in response to community needs and wishes. They will also have a particular focus on supporting individuals to overcome the barriers they face to get to the point where they can access and take part in our wider programmes of support.

This position present an exciting opportunity for the right person to make a significant contribution to the work of the Settlement and people we serve.
