Since 1899, Birmingham Settlement has been supporting people to lead fulfilling happy lives; providing services and actions that enable people to gain new skills, to build confidence and to establish social and community networks to create opportunity and to improve lives.

We are an innovative and forward thinking organisation in a period of exciting growth and positive change with several new and developing projects under way. We are now looking to appoint a Developing People Manager to help us deliver our vision.

The Developing People Manager is responsible for developing and delivering high quality services and leadership to all staff within the Settlement’s Developing People service area.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing new services and growing existing services; maximising both people and physical resources. The Developing People Team supports all Settlement service areas ensuring our people have the knowledge and skills they need to achieve their goals – creating opportunities for individuals to grow and influence the services they want and need. The post-holder will have excellent leadership qualities with ability to motivate and inspire to get the best out of people.

As part of the Settlement’s leadership team the role also plays a key role in supporting the sustainability of the charity as a whole with the development and implementation of longer term strategic plans. This is a very busy front facing role that cuts across all aspects of the charity.
The roles provide an excellent opportunity to develop and build services that make a real difference to people and communities.
