Eden Boys School Coffee Morning

18-07-2018

As part of our inter-generational work, some of  our Ageing Well members were invited by Eden Boys School to attend a coffee & conversation morning as part of a Changing Our Lives project working towards bridging the gap between the elderly and younger generation to bring about real change with the elderly and tackle loneliness. Members enjoyed the day and remarked how this  gave them an opportunity to engage and meet with young people. Below is a comment from one of the members:

“Our visit to your school on Thursday 12th July for the coffee morning was brilliant and we all enjoyed this event. It was great for students to meet older people of different cultures & religions. We all gelled together as one, talking about the past and present times. It  was good to understand each others views.  Thank you and keep up the good work”.
