Award for Outstanding Performance and Exceptional Work

Historically Birmingham Settlement has delivered a range of money advice services across the city and further afield. This month one of our Money Advisors, Kamran Latif, received an award for Outstanding Performance and Exceptional Work in resolving complex finance and debt issues across the Staffordshire and West Midlands Prison’s Resettlement Service. Kamran started at Birmingham Settlement as a Volunteer back in 2011 and since then has become a valued member of the team and well respected within the prison and rehabilitation services.

Kamran LatifBirmingham Settlement is working in partnership with Staffordshire and West Midlands Community Rehabilitation Company and Her Majesty’s Prison Service. The aim of the partnership is to bring specialist debt and benefits advice to people who would not normally be able to access these services. We specifically aim to assist vulnerable people by offering assistance and support with all issues relating to money advice, with the specific aim of improving their quality of life, stabilising their financial situation and generally aiding their integration back into mainstream society.

We would like to say a massive well done to Kamran for achieving this award!
